hypr-vars.lua and hypr-user.lua were not found and are not shown as active sources.

Safe editing workflow

Before changing configuration, identify the file that actually owns the value. An included file may override an earlier declaration, while Caelestia state can be regenerated by its own tools. Change one logical group at a time and keep a known-good terminal session open.

• confirm the target and its include relationship;
• create a timestamped copy beside the file;
• validate syntax before relying on a reload;
• reload only the affected user component;
• test the exact behaviour you changed;
• restore the copy if the result differs from the intended state.

Expected: No output means the runtime parser is not currently reporting an error.

Interpretation: An empty result does not prove that every desktop component is healthy. If output appears, use its file and line reference before editing.

Verify: Run the command again after the smallest supported correction.

Interpretation: Verify that every shown change belongs to the intended task.
